These terms set out the basis on which TAY Athletics provides its gym, its football pitch and its shop, and the basis on which you use this website. By using any of them, you are agreeing to them.

Who these terms apply to

They apply to everyone who uses the facilities: members, people hiring the pitch, people buying from the shop, and guests brought in by any of the above. Where a term applies only to one of those groups, it says so.

Your account

Some things on this site — buying from the shop, and booking once booking is available — require an account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it.

The details you give us when you register should be accurate and should be kept up to date. We use them to reach you about your membership or your booking, and we can only reach you at the address you have given us.

Membership

Memberships run on the terms set out when you join. The tiers currently offered are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond, and what each one includes is listed on the gym page. Access to the facilities is subject to those inclusions and to these terms.

A membership is personal to you and is not transferable. It does not entitle anyone else to use the facilities on your behalf.

Using the gym

Use the equipment for what it is designed for, and put it back where you found it. Weights left on the floor are the most common cause of injury in any gym, and clearing up after yourself is the single most useful thing anyone does for the people training after them.

Staff may ask you to stop doing something that is unsafe, and may ask you to leave if you continue. That is not a judgement about you; it is the only tool available for keeping a room full of heavy objects safe.

Hiring the pitch

The pitch is hired by the hour, within the windows listed on the pitch page. The person who makes the booking is responsible for the group that turns up, including for any damage and for leaving the surface as they found it.

Footwear appropriate to a synthetic surface is required. Metal studs damage the pitch and are not permitted.

The shop

Products shown in the shop are subject to availability. We try to keep what is listed accurate, but the range changes as stock comes in and goes out, and something being displayed is not a guarantee that it is in stock at the moment you ask for it.

Prices and payment terms are those shown at the point of purchase. Questions about an order should go through the contact page.

Behaviour

Treat the staff and the other people using the facilities with courtesy. Abuse, harassment and threatening behaviour are not tolerated and are grounds for having your membership ended without notice.

Photography and filming in the changing areas is not permitted under any circumstances. Elsewhere, ask before filming anyone who is not with you.

Health and safety

You use the facilities on the basis that you are fit to do so. If you have a medical condition, an injury, or any doubt at all about whether a form of exercise is suitable for you, take advice from a doctor before starting rather than after.

Tell us about anything we need to know in order to keep you safe. Report any injury that happens on site to a member of staff before you leave, however minor it seems at the time.

Personal property

Bring what you need and keep an eye on it. Lockers are provided where available, but property is brought onto the site at your own risk and we are not responsible for items that are lost, damaged or taken.

Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end access to the facilities where these terms are broken, where behaviour puts other people at risk, or where amounts owed have not been paid. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you why first.

You can end your membership on the terms that applied when you took it out. Anything you want to arrange or query about that should go through the contact page, so that there is a record of it.

Things outside our control

Occasionally a facility has to close at short notice — a power failure, weather that makes the pitch unsafe, maintenance that cannot wait. We will let people know as early as we can, and we are not responsible for costs arising from a closure we could not have prevented.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date shown at the top of the page is the date it took effect. Continuing to use the facilities after a change means the revised version applies.
