This policy explains what information TAY Athletics collects from the people who use its gym, its football pitch and its shop, why that information is collected, and what is done with it. It applies to this website and to the services described on it.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect the details you give us: your name, your email address, and a phone number if you choose to provide one. If you contact us through the form on this site, we collect what you type into it so that we can reply.

If you take out a membership or hire the pitch, we keep a record of what you have booked and paid for, because we need it to provide the service and to answer questions about it afterwards.

We also collect basic technical information when you visit the site — the pages you looked at and roughly where in the world the request came from — for no purpose beyond keeping the site working and understanding which parts of it people use.

Why we collect it

We collect personal information for three reasons: to provide the thing you have asked for, to contact you about it, and to meet obligations we cannot avoid. We do not collect information because it might be interesting later.

How we use it

Your details are used to run your membership or your booking, to reply when you get in touch, and to send you information about the service you are using. We will not add you to a marketing list because you sent us an enquiry.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site and process payments, and only to the extent they need it to do that work, and where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep account and booking records for as long as you are using the service, and for a period afterwards where we are required to. Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept long enough to deal with them properly and are then removed.

Keeping it secure

Access to personal information is limited to the staff who need it to do their jobs. Passwords are stored in a form that cannot be reversed, which means that nobody at TAY can see your password and we cannot tell you what it is if you forget it — you can only set a new one.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that we do not keep more than we need, and that we treat what we do keep carefully.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember choices you have made. It does not use them to follow you around other websites.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also ask us to stop sending you messages that are not necessary to the service.

Children

Accounts on this site are intended for adults. Where a young person uses the gym or the pitch, we deal with the parent or guardian who made the arrangement.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page and the date at the top of the page will change with it. Continuing to use the service after that means the revised version applies.

Getting in touch

Questions about this policy, or requests about your own information, should go through the contact page at /tay/contact. It reaches the same people and it means your request is written down rather than remembered.
